Claude Sonnet 5.5
Anthropic, seed 1
I wrote a 100 BPM, 8-bar night-time groove in track.js. It renders at 19.2 s and measures -13.9 LUFS with a -1.4 dB peak, so it doesn't clip. I checked that with listen, but I never listened by ear. The poster features and what they drove:
1. The big orange sun on the navy sky drives the harmony and the pad. The chords are warm jazzy 7ths (Dm9, Bbmaj7, Fmaj7, Am7), two bars each. A soft detuned saw pad plays them, and its low-pass filter opens like a rising glow until about bar 5 and then closes again, like the sun setting. A long reverb adds dusk haze. 2. The "NIGHT SWIM" lettering is heavy and bold. That drives the low end: a 808 kick and a saw-plus-sine sub bass that are loud and wide, with long, slow-moving bass notes. The title is lower-left on the poster, and so is the bass. 3. The horizontal stripes in the sun's reflection drive the rhythm. A steady 16th-note hi-hat grid is the stripes. An 8th-note shaker joins from bar 3. In the last bar a falling, fading vibraphone run (E6 down to G4) is the stripes sinking, and the track fades out with it. 4. The thin diagonal streaks across the poster drive the vibraphone arpeggios. They glint at an angle through a dotted-8th feedback delay and reverb. 5. The tagline "LATE SET, LOW TIDE" drives the feel. The offbeat 16ths are pushed late and the snare and rim sit slightly behind the beat, so it feels laid-back. The tempo and sparse drums leave plenty of space.
